The book had taught me a lot not only with very detailed information regarding Laban’s influence he had on Jacob’s life from the moment Abraham’s servant sought out to find a wife for Jacob. By wanting to take advantage of Jacob’s covenant with God in order to get everything that God has for him. The book not only gave me more insight to Laban’s motives but it also described how a person’s life can drastically be affected by it.

Seeing how it is a spirit that works through the personalities and decisions of other people(through their soul) in order to avert and manipulate what God has declared over my life and prevent me from becoming all of what God has planned for me.

I have learned many things from the book such as why being planted in a church and having a spiritual father is important in my covenant with God, How to break free from Laban’s grasp through God’s alignment of blessing(THE BLESSING OF THE FATHER; THE BLESSING OF THE FUTURE; THE BLESSING OF IDENTITY CHANGE) and finally to ALWAYS make the right choices according to God’s constellation for my life by walking in the Kingdom of God and being an enduring disciple.

1. The book had mentioned 11 different ways that I can recognize Laban’s works around me as well as through me. It gave me a better understanding in order to prevent any future attempts from Laban to try and come between me and my covenant with God.

The 11 different characteristics had reminded me of all of the different times where Laban had  tried to work his way into my life. An instance that stood out  for me was back in high school when I had to help a couple of boys in EGD in preparation for our preliminary and final exams. I was fortunate enough to have a good understanding for the subject which made it easy for me to understand the drawing or assignments we had to do that counted towards my report card where some of them only took the subject because it seemed as an easier subject to have than Business Studies or Biology. I would have a bunch of guys in my grade come to me for help with certain drawings in which I was willing to help in because it seemed like the right thing to do. Little did I know that they were only coming to me for help because they were very lazy and didn’t want to go through the hassle of handing in poorly drawn assignments, so they would only come to me for help in order to see the end result so that they can just draw it out by free-hand. even though it was free-hand they would’ve only gotten less point deductions on the assignment grading than if they were to try and hand in their own personal attempts of the assignments. I picked up on it after a while and stopped helping them due to their dishonesty for which I was cussed and scolded at due to not giving them any ‘freebies’ any longer.

2. A key event I’ve recognised as an important moment in my life as part of God’s constellation for me at the moment would have to be the 2024 Obedience Services I attended over the December in which God worked in my heart about following His plan for my life and not to follow my own will and desires for my life as it would’ve made me go astray from my walk with God and potentially lead to my relationship with God becoming more distant.
